Where the system goes matters most
A septic system is only as good as its location. Our specialists can recommend the best place to put your septic system compared to your home, considering the terrain, slopes and drainage areas. That single decision shapes how the whole system behaves for years.
Terrain and slope decide how the lines run and where water wants to travel. A drain field set in a low spot that collects runoff will struggle, while one placed with the lay of the land in mind drains the way it was meant to. Distance from the house matters as well, because the tank and the field each need room to be installed and later reached for service.
Walking the property is how that gets settled. Nobody can judge siting from a phone call, so the first step is always looking at the ground itself.
Permits and code are part of the job
Getting a system approved is its own piece of work, and it is easy to underestimate. We work with the city to ensure your system will be up to code, and we take care of getting permits. You are not left to chase paperwork between the office and the jobsite.
That matters on a practical level. A system installed without sign-off can cause trouble later, at a sale, an inspection or a repair, and nobody wants to dig up a finished yard to fix what a permit would have caught. Doing it in the right order keeps the project moving.
The company holds PA license 018852 and has been family-owned and operated in Carlisle since 1970, so the local approval process is familiar territory.
What an install looks like, start to finish
It starts with a free estimate and an appointment. The crew assesses your property and figures out the best place to assemble and install the new system. Before any work begins, the project manager walks you through the whole process, so you know what is going where, and in what order.
Then the excavation begins. A trench is cut for the drain field and a hole is dug for the tank, which is set level and connected. Washed stone and properly graded lines carry effluent out into the field, and the ground is restored when the system is in.
We install both commercial and residential septic systems, serving Carlisle, PA and the surrounding areas. If you are unsure whether you are in our service area, give us a call at (717) 385-1863 and we will tell you.
